Visit of Mr. Ivica Dacic, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to Azerbaijan
On June 1, 2015, Mr. Ivica Dacic, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia visited Azerbaijan.
During his visit Mr. I.Dacic was received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and met with Mr. Ogtay Asadov, the Chairman of the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, heads of the parties represented in the Parliament of Azerbaijan and representatives of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno Karabakg region of Azerbaijan.
In the course of the meetings extensive exchange of views were held on the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, including in political, economic, energy and humanitarian fields, prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and OSCE, negotiations process on the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, double standards with regard to the conflict settlement and other issues.
Mr. Ivica Dacic expressed his satisfaction with development of friendly relationship between Azerbaijan and Serbia. According to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office he understands quite well the problem of violation of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the issue of territorial integrity is a matter of principal for Serbia as well.
