Ambassador Dejan Šahović, Head of the Task Force for the OSCE Chairmanship of Serbia visited Azerbaijan.
On May 6, 2015, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Head of the Task Force for the OSCE Chairmanship of Serbia, Dejan Šahović who is currently in Azerbaijan with official visit. They discussed important issues on the OSCE agenda during the meeting.
Noting the successful development of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov emphasized that both countries are also engaged in close cooperation within the international organizations.
Giving the brief update about the ongoing negotiations towards the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressed inadmissibility of altering the internationally recognized borders of states by use of force. Furthermore, Minister E.Mammadyarov added that for the resolution of the conflict, first of all, armed forces of Armenia shall be withdrawn from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and the fact of occupation shall be ceased.
