Brief historical information on diplomatic relations:
The Former Yugoslavia recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 31, 1991. Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia and Montenegro were established on August 21, 1997.
On March 25, 2010 the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Serbia H.E.Mr. Eldar Hasanov presented his credentials to the President of Serbia. On February 2011 the Embassy of Serbia was opened in Baku. The first Ambassador of Serbia in Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Zoran Vajovic presented his credentials to the President of Azerbaijan on May 26, 2011 and his mission ended on March 6, 2014. On October 23, 2014, the newly appointed Ambassador of Serbia to Azerbaijan H.E.Mr. Nebojsa Rodic presented his credentials to the President of Azerbaijan.

There is an inter-parliamentary working group between Serbia and Azerbaijan, approved by Milli Majlis. The chairman of the group is Malahat Ibrahimgızı.

On February 2013, the draft “Resolution on compliance with international law and the peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” was included into the agenda of the Serbian Parliament.
- Economic sphere
Azerbaijan-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was established on June 7, 2011. Co-chairs of Commission are Mr. Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and Mr. Rasim Lyayic, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia. Four sessions of the Commission have been held so far. The last session was held in Baku on 28 September 2015.
Five Business Forums were held between the two countries.
In 2010, Serbia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce was established in Serbia.
On March 2013, an Azerbaijani company “Azvirt” started construction the “Lyig-Prelyina” part of the “11th corridor” highway in Serbia. The opening ceremony of the Ljig-Preljina section of the highway in Serbia, constructed according to the Credit Agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Serbia signed in 2012 was held on November 7, 2016. Azerbaijan allocated to Serbia credit amounting 300 mln. Avro for the realization of the project. 40,3 km long highway has 66 bridges and 4 tunnels.

In 2016 foreign trade turnover volume of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Serbia accounted 4.40 mln. U.S.$, while volume of import amounted to 4035.65 mln. U.S.$, trade balance is negative 4031.31 mln. U.S $ (source: State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan).

On June 2010, the Azerbaijan Culture Center was established in Belgrade.
In 2011, the Tashmaydan park in Belgrade was restorated and modernized with the support of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The monuments to the national leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the popular Serbian writer-publicist Milorad Pavic were put up in the park.
In the same year, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a memorial named after Üzeyir Hacıbeyli, a prominent Azerbaijani composer was constructed in Novi Sad city, thus becoming the symbol of friendship between the Azerbaijani and Serbian people.
In accordance with the instruction of H.E. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the support of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, reconstruction and repair of the Bayrakly Jami in Belgrade, construction and renovation of the Saint Petca Church in Novi Sad and repair and reconstruction of the Cultural Center in Novi Pazar were carried out in 2011-2012.
The official inauguration of the monument of outstanding Serbian scientist and physicist Nikola Tesla in Baku took place in the course of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia H.E.Mr.Tomislav Nikolic to Azerbaijan on February 7-9, 2013.
On February 22, 2012, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, received a delegation led by Mr. Vlade Divac, the Chairman of Serbia Olympic Committee. In the meeting, the international award “True friend of the Balkans” established by “Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation” was presented to H.E. Ilham Aliyev for his valuable contribution to the comprehensive development of relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia as well as the Balkan countries and special services in the approaching of Balkan nations.
On August 21-24, 2012, the Azerbaijan film director Arzu Urshan’s film “Ball sometimes flies and sometimes falls to the ground” was awarded first prize of the first international festival of sport films “Zlatibor-2012”held in Serbia.
On June 29 –July 2, 2013, the Azerbaijan film director Rafiq Guliyev’s film “Chovgan” was awarded the first prize of the second international festival of sport films “Zlatibor-2013”inSerbia. After the demonstration of the film, the award and diploma were presented to representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia.
On July 23, 2013, an exhibition of Azerbaijani children's drawings "The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through the eyes of children" was opened in Belgrade. The exhibition launched by the Azerbaijani non-governmental organization "Help for the Economic, Social and Spiritual Development of Young People" was sponsored by the Youth Fund of the President of Azerbaijan and supported organizationally by the Azerbaijani-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia.
On August 20-25, 2013, the World Wrestling Championship-Cadet was held in Zrenjanin, Serbia. The young wrestlers from Azerbaijan won in total 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals ranking the second in the overall medal table in the world.
On August 22, 2013 within the another project of the NGO "Young Leaders", a group of young people from Ganja, Azerbaijan, visited Serbia.
In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ATGTİ) and the Serbian Universities Student Conference (SKONUS) the five Azerbaijani students visited Serbia on 2-9 September 2013 and the five Serbian students visited Azerbaijan on September 10-16,2013, in the framework of the student exchange program.
On September 19-24, 2013, Mr. Anar Rzayev, the people’s writer of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of Writers Union of Azerbaijan, upon invitation of Mr. Radomir Andric, the Chairman of Writers Union of Serbia visited Serbia to take part at the 50th Belgrade International Congress of Writers.
On September 25, 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Serbia facilitated signing of "The Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Library of Azerbaijan and the National Library of the Republic of Serbia".
On October 1-6, 2013, in Belgrade, the schoolchildren of Baku Choreographic School visited Serbia to participate in the "Joy of Europe" International Child Festival held annually in Belgrade.
On October 20-23, 2013, the Azerbaijani women’s volleyball club "Economist" traveled to Serbia to play with the Serbian volleyball club "CrvenaZvezda" within the European Champions League Tournament. On October 22, 2013, the Azerbaijani sportswomen won the game with the score 3-0.
On October 21-27, 2013, schoolchildren from 46th and 145th secondary schools in Baku and 3rd children’s home of Khatai district participated in the UNESCO camp in Umcari settlement of Belgrade.
On November 6-11, 2013, the nine-years-old Hassan Rahimov represented Azerbaijan at the "Small Shells" VII International Children's Music Festival in Novis Sad, Serbia and received the Audience Sympathy Award.
On November 22-23, 2013, Serbian films were featured under the category "Culture, tradition" within the Baku First International Tourism Films Festival held in Nizami Cinema Centre.
Since 2013/2014 academic year as a part of “ The World in Serbia” educational program of the Government of Serbia, the University of Belgrade has been annually providing scholarship for one Azerbaijani student (bachelor, master or Phd).
On February 28-March 9, 2014, 42nd International Film Festival “Fest” took place in Belgrade. Mr. Shamil Aliyev, a movie director, represented Azerbaijan with his movie “The Steppe Man” at this event.
On April 26, 2014, by the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Republic and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia, the International Music Festival in Novi Sad (NOMUS) organized concert of famous Azerbaijanian jazz musician and singer Aziza Mustafazade in Novi Sad city.
On 15 March 2014, Ms.Jasmina Mihajlovic, a prominent Serbian writer, presented her book entitled “On the coastline of the Caspian Sea” in Belgrade-based “Laguna” Book Center. In her book, the author shared our country-related memories during her visit on the eve of the “Eurovision-2012”Song Contest in Azerbaijan.
On May 19, 2014, at the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbia with the direct instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, to eliminate the consequences of floods caused by the natural disaster that took place in Serbia, humanitarian aid worth € 400 000 was handed over to the relevant authorities of Serbia at the airport in Belgrade, which had delivered by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
For 19-21 May 2014, Serbian “Band Srcana Markovica”music group participated at “Univision” II International Music Contest hosted by Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku.
On May 27-29, 2014, Serbian young scientists took part at “Baku World Forum for Young Scientists”.
On June 15,2014, a group of Azerbaijani bikers led by Mr.Vahid Mustafayev, the Head of ANS Group of Companies reached Belgrade as a part of their 10,000 km- length motorcycle race held under the slogan “Let’s introduce Azerbaijan to Europe” on the occasion of the Day of National Salvation of the Azerbaijani People. Together with the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia, the race participants laid flowers at the Heydar Aliyev Monument built in Tashmajdan Park, which was fully restored and renovated with the support of the Government of Azerbaijan.
On June 16-19, 2014, on the occasion of 80th anniversary of establishment of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers (UAW) Mr. Radomir Andric, the Chairperson of the Association of Writers of Serbia, and Ms. Gordana Andric, a member of the Association, attended XII Congress of Azerbaijani writers.
On June 25-27, 2014, by co-organization of Cultural Center of Belgrade, Azerbaijan Culture Center in Belgrade and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Republic of Serbia Professor of Uz.Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy Rasima Babayeva took part in the 14th International Festival of Organ Days hold in Belgrade. During the visit, R.Babayeva gave master classes for the students of the Academy of Arts from the University of Belgrade, as well as the concert in Cathedral Church of St. Mary. At the concert in Belgrade for the first time beside of European composers have been played works of Azerbaijan composers such as Nazim Aliverdibekov, Vasif Adigozalov, Kara Karayev, Vagif Mustafazade and Khayam Mirzazade. R.Babayeva’s performance welcomed by domestic and foreign audience.
On July 31, 2014, the Embassy of Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia, Serbia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Belgrade-based Azerbaijan Culture Center provided humanitarian aid to Loznica residents affected by flood in May 2014.
On September 1-5, 2014, Azerbaijani movie “Azerbaijan: European Attraction of the East” directed by Azerbaijani filmmaker Ms. Mariya Ibrahimova won the best tourism movie award at SILAFEST –VI International Festival of Tourist and Ecology Films in Veliko Gradiste, Serbia.
On September 16-22, 2014, Mr. Salim Babullaoglu, the Chief of the Center for Literary Translations and Literary Relations of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers and Mr. Elkhan Zal, the editor-in-chief of “Ulu Chinar” literary magazine attended 51st Belgrade International Congress of Writers, which brought together 30 literary representatives from 23 countries..
On September 30, 2014, Belgrade-based Serbian National Theatre hosted presentation ceremony of Karic Brothers Awards, established by one of the most distinguished Western Balkan foundations. Karic Brothers Foundation awarded Mr. Elchin, Azerbaijani People Writer in the nomination of international culture and art in 2014. The award was handed over by Mr. Dragomir Karic, Serbian MP, member of Serbian-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Friendship Group and Ms. Danica Karic, the President of Karic Brothers Foundation. During the event Serbian musicians performed works of Azerbaijani composers.
An opening ceremony of the library established within the Azerbaijan Culture Center in Belgrade took place on October 1, 2014. Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Mr. Elchin Efendiyev, members of Serbia-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, Serbian National Library, Belgrade City Library, Student Library of the University of Belgrade, Serbian National Archives Service, Archives Service of Yugoslavia, Administration of Novy Sad University, Serbian media, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia, Azerbaijan Culture Center and Serbia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce attended the opening ceremony.
On October 1-6, 2014, schoolchildren of the school within Baku Choreographic Academy successfully participated at annually held “Joy of Europe” Belgrade International Children’s Festival. Azerbaijani national dance performed by our young artists at “Sava” Concert Hall was given strong ovation by local and foreign audience.
On October 2-3, 2014, Serbian delegation participated at IV Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
On October 16-19, 2014, An Azerbaijani culinary team participated at the Balkan Culinary Cup in Belgrade. Azerbaijani culinary experts took the third place among youth teams and the fourth place among the team of professionals.
On 20 October 2014, on the occasion of 70th anniversary of liberation of the city of Belgrade from the Fascist occupation Serbian RTS channel (Radio and Television Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia) demonstrated a documentary film. The film also highlighted an interview taken by Mr. Bojan Brkic’, deputy editor-in-chief of RTS, from Mr. Zulfali Aliyev, Second World War veteran, a fighter in the “Red Banner 223th Belgrade Division” which had been made up to 90% by Azerbaijanis and took part in liberation of Belgrade.
From November 30 to December 4 2014, the Delegation of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences of (ANAS), led by academician Akif Alizadeh, the President of ANAS, upon invitation of academician Nikola Haydin, the President of Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences (SANU), visited Serbia. During the bilateral meetings, the sides discussed the issues pertaining to cooperation between the institutions of science and research, exchange of experiences and implementation of joint projects in spheres of mutual interest. It was underlined that within short period of time relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia had reached a level of strategic partnership, and there was a need to extend them to other spheres as well, including the sphere of science. Following the meetings an Agreement on Cooperation between ANAS and SANU and an additional protocol to the agreement were signed.
On December 15, 2014, 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan was marked in an event held in the ceremonial hall of the City Assembly of Belgrade. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia and the Culture Center of Azerbaijan. As a part of the program, a concert with performance of pieces by Azerbaijani and Serbian composers was held, a photo exhibition featuring key historical monuments and images of wild nature areas of Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan was organized and a book entitled “Selection Works” by a decent Son of Nakhichevan, world-famous playwright Mr. Jalil Mammadguluzada translated and published in Serbia was presented.
On December 26, 2014, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia as well as the Azerbaijan Culture Center and Serbia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce delivered humanitarian aid in Belgrade to Daycare Center for Children and Youth with disabilities on the occasion of the New Year.
On December 25-28, 2014, Mr. Jalil Khalilov, deputy chairman of Azerbaijani Union of Veterans, upon invitation of the Club of Serbian Generals and Admirals, visited Serbia. During his visit Mr. Khalilov held meetings at the Club of Serbian Generals and Admirals and the Union of Veterans of Serbia. In the course of the meetings the sides discussed the possibilities of further cooperation and exchange of experience between their institutions.
On December 9, 2014, a video plot about the upcoming 2015 European Games in Baku was demonstrated at a ceremony which took place in Serbian Parliament on the occasion of the Day of Serbian Olympic Committee. This annually held ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, member of the Government of Serbia, parliamentarians and representatives of the diplomatic corps and was live broadcasted by RTS (Radio and Television Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia).
The event was organized on 4 March 2015 in Belgrade on 100 days remaining to the Baku2015 European Games. Sportsmen, representatives of sports community and journalists from Serbia, as well as diplomats of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia participated in the event which was held in front of the countdown clock to the beginning of the Baku2015 first European Games set up in Terazije. The pupils of the Ivo Andric elementary school formed figure 100 as the symbol of the 100 days remaining to the beginning of the first European Olympic Games, thus they demonstrated the importance and global value of the Olympic movement.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Haydar Aliyev Foundation was awarded with the national award - “Sreten Medal” of the Republic of Serbia for her special services in public, cultural and humanitarian spheres in the Republic of Serbia according to the decree of H.E. Mr.Tomislav Nikolic, the President of the Republic of Serbia on 26 March 2015.
In accordance with Presidential Decree by Ilham Aliyev on celebration of 90th anniversary of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh, a prominent Azerbaijani poet, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the base of initiative of Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Belgrade and Azerbaijanis who live in Serbia, addressed Belgrade City Mayor’s Office in an attempt of popularization of the memory about this outstanding poet across such a friendly state and strategic partner of Azerbaijan like Serbia and naming a street in Belgrade in honor of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh. In this regard, Belgrade City Mayor’s Office and the Parliament made a decision to name a street that stretches from Tsrnotravske till the crossroads of Borska and Pere Velemirovic in honor of our beloved poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh at the assembly dated 23 June 2015. The opening ceremony of this street was held on August 16, 2015, which was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia and the Office of Mayor of the city of Belgrade. Positive response by Belgrade City Mayor’s Office to the application of the Embassy of Azerbaijan about naming the street is, undoubtedly, a graph evidence of purposeful and successful policy by Azerbaijan and, of course, another proof of growing influence of our country across Western Balkans and Serbia as well as a sign of high-level relations between Azerbaijan and our friend and strategic partner-Serbia.
On 27th of June, 2015 on the basis of agreement signed between “Serbia in the rhythm of Europe” and municipality of Novi Bechey city the Serbia-Azerbaijan friendship concert with participation of school children was held in this city. On the opening ceremony of concert schoolchildren of Novi Bechey sang national anthems of Azerbaijan and Serbia. By the invitation of leadership of Novi Bechey city the diplomats of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia, as well as representatives of Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Belgrade and Serbia-Azerbaijan Trade Chamber visited the above mentioned concert.
On 2nd of July, 2015 in Belgrade the personal exhibition of young Azerbaijani artist Chingiz Mehbaliyev called “Second step” organised by Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Belgrade was opened. On the exhibition, which held in the museum house of famous Serbian artist and writer Jura Yakshich, was featured in the colorful and graphic works of Ch. Mehbaliyev on different subjects created in the style of realism and surrealism. Some works presented here for the first time. For example “Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev on the opening of shollar water pipe”, “Buket from Garabakh”, “Flying carpet”, “Leaving future” and so on. The Azerbaijan national song called “Bugün ayın üçüdür” (today is Third day of month) was performed by soloist of Serbian National Theatre Ms.Natasha Yovich and accompanying her musicians.
On 19 March 2016, an event dedicated to the International Novruz Day in was held in Tashmaydan Park of Belgrade. It was organized by Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Belgrade with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia. Ms. Zarifa Alizada, the director of Azerbaijan Cultural Center, stated in her opening address that the Novruz Holiday is a symbol of spring’s coming and natural revival, abundance and favoring in the Orient. She also highlighted that Novruz was included to the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO in 2009 upon the initiative of Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. In 2010 UN General Assembly declared 21 March as the International Novruz Day. The celebration continued with the “yally” dance around the fire – one of the symbols of Novruz, in the performance of children dressed in national clothes. During the event, Ms. Natasha Jovic, a prominent Serbian opera singer performed “Bugün ayın üçüdür” (“Today is the third day of the month”) song, while Ms. Ivana Mundja sang “Sarı Gəlin” (“The Blonde Bride”) and “Lachin” (“Falcon”) ballads. Children of our compatriots in Belgrade danced “Naz eləmə”, “Uzundərə” and “Nəlbəki” and performed “Şən Azərbaycan” (“Merry Azerbaijan”) song of Polad Bulbuloghlu. Their performance raised great interest of Belgrade inhabitants and guests. Finally, the event visitors were invited to the table decorated by samani and colored eggs to taste Azerbaijani sweets like shakarbura, pakhlava and goghal.
On June 19, 2016 the final concert in the framework of the “Serbia in the Rhythm of Europe”, was held in Cuprija city of Serbia. Azerbaijan was represented by the schoolchildren from the Varvarin city, in the contest of the children from different cities of Serbia who were representing EU member states and other friendly nations (20 countries in total). The children from Varvarin successfully performed Polad Bülbüloğlu’s song Şən Azərbaycan (“Merry Azerbaijan”) and their performance raised great interest. The representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia and Azerbaijani cultural Center in Belgrade participated at the event.
On 9-18 July 2016 the Serbian winners of the “What do I know about Azerbaijan?” essay competition organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia were in Azerbaijan. The winners of the competition from different countries, including Serbia visited the historical and cultural sites, Heydar Aliyev Center, ADA University, Ismayilli, Gabala and Shaki cities and were acquainted with rich cultural and historical heritage of Azerbaijan.
On 20-26 July 2016 the head of the Literary Translation and Relations Center, poet Salim Babullaoghlu participated at the ninth international arts festival in Serbia. He received 2016ARTE international literature award in the framework of the festival. This award is given to the persons with long-time literary activity who have been contributing to the development of the relationship among writers, poets, translators and critics from different countries.
On October 5, 2016 the gala concert of the traditional children’s music festival “Joy of Europe” was held in Belgrade. This year’s festival was dedicated to the 160 years anniversary of the famous Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla. Azerbaijan was represented by the students of the Baku Choreography Academy in the event gathering children music groups from different countries of the world.
On October 7, 2016 Deputy editor of the foreign policy section of the Serbia’s RTS television channel and the participant of the V Baku International Humanitarian Forum Mr. Nebojša Kotlajić talked about the Forum on the RTS 1 morning programme. He noted that politicians, scientists and journalists from many countries of the world participated at the forum and discussed various global humanitarian problems. Mr. Kotlajić also gave information about his speech dedicated to the migration problem, as well as the beauty of Baku, harmony of old and modern buildings in the city, Serbia-Azerbaijan relations, economic and humanitarian activity of Azerbaijan in Serbia.
On December 23, 2016 Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Belgrade with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia organized conference on “Multiculturalism: Azerbaijan’s experience” and presentation of the book on “Famous women of Azerbaijan/Serbia” in Serbian and Azerbaijani languages by prof.Zarifa Alizade and Ph.D. on philology Lala Majidova at the Institute of International Politics and Economy in Belgrade. Public, political, scientific and cultural figures of Serbia, including representatives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art, Serbian Writer’s Union, diplomatic corps in Serbia, Serbia-Azerbaijan Trade and Economic Chamber, Serbia-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Azerbaijani community in Serbia and media attended the event.
Upon initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia the following books on prominent personalities were translated into the Serbian language and published: “Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijan”, “Uzeyir Hajibeyli”, as well as “Karabakh truths ” by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Rasul Rza’s collection of poems “Colors”, “Red flagged 223th Belgrade division” by Bakhis Mehdiyev, who was one of the commanders of the division formed from the Azerbaijanis on the territory of Azerbaijan during the WWII, Elchin Efendiyev’s “Death sentence” and Djalil Mamedkuluzade’s “Selected works”, Ziya Bunyadov’s “Azerbaijan in VII-IX centuries”, Chingiz Abdullayev’s “Opponents of Europe”, Bahram Bagirzade’s “My favorite dishes”. Also, well-known Serbian writers Milorad Pavic’s “Khazar dictionary” and Ivo Andric’s “Bridge on Drina” were translated into the Azerbaijani language and published and the Serbian-Azerbaijani dictionary and conversation book was prepared and published. On October 5,2011, a presentation of the documentary produced by the film studio “Salname” of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Republic and devoted to the “223thBelgrade division” took place inBelgrade. On March 14, 2012, “Xəcalət” (Shame) written by Huseynbala Miralamov and produced by the Azerbaijan National Academic Dram Theater was staged at the theater of “Slavia” in Belgrade.
